Our Services - What do we beleive in?

  1. We aim to assist a company or organisation to achieve its business goals and make healthy and safe working a way of life.  These 2 aims are not mutually exclusive and really are compatible.
  2. Health and safety issues occur everyday in every organisation and should and can be tackled as they occur instead of being either ignored or put to one side to be dealt with as an ‘add on’.  Indeed health and safety Risk Assessment methods provide a system of anticipating hazards and risks and eliminating them or controlling them.
  3. We believe:
  • Injuries and work related ill-health can be prevented
  • All accidents must be investigated to prevent repetition
  • Risks can be managed to an acceptable level
  • People need information, training, instruction and supervision to work safely
  • Prevention of accidents and ill-health at work is only good business
  • All managers and all employees need to be committed to all of the above before an organisation can be said to have a ‘safety culture’.

HOW DO WE SET ABOUT ASSISTING YOU TO MANAGE SAFELY?

  1.  We aim to conduct our time on-site in such a way as to avoid long meetings or serious disruption to normal business.  However, we do need to get to know the organisation, find out how it works successfully, and find out the areas where the organisation is vulnerable in terms of hazard and risk
  2. We do this by:
  • Evaluating your existing health and safety policy.
  • Carry out an audit of the current system of assessing risk and how effective are the controls in place.
  • Carry out a safety inspection of all the work areas.
  • Produce a report advising on areas that require urgent attention, modification and or implementation of current regulations.
  • Agree a programme of health and safety culture-change by:
    • Writing a new health and safety policy or amending the existing system.
    • Amending or re-assessing risk assessments
    • Producing a simple but effective employee health and safety handbook.
    • Training management to carry out routine safety inspections and common risk assessments.
    • Agreeing a programme of health and safety training for employees based on the most cost-effective methods available to achieve legal compliance.
